MASK-MAKING PROJECT
The mask-making project is the culminating activity of the
Native American study. It's centered on various Native
American cultures. Each student creates a mask that
incorporates aspects of a specific culture and its
environment. My groups are making North West Coast masks.

On March 14th and 19th 2007 two concerts made the Assembly
Hall echo with songs, dances and sketches performed by the
students from the Language School. The concerts were
dedicated to Bulgarian and American cultures.
Students recited in English poems written by the
Bulgarian poet and revolutionist Hristo Botev. Moreover,
they showed great talent and skills interpreting in the
original Mark Twain and Emily Dickenson. The dance group
“Magnifica” with their choreographer Ms Ralitsa Todorova
impressed us again with their overwhelming dances. Our
American guests from Haven High School took part in the
concert dedicated to Kansas and the USA. Special guest was
Gergana Borislavova, a silver medal winner at the National
music competition “Orpheus’s talent” and a student at “Otets
Paisii” High School who received loud applauses from the
audience one of the members of which was the Governor of
Region Vratsa, Dr Antonio Georgiev.

about the history and symbols of EU; financial institutions
and the possibilities of finding a job in the member
countries; the education policy of the EU; protecting the
environment, as well as preserving the Bulgarian identity
and national values after the joining of Bulgaria to EU.
